StoryPantry ("we," "us") is a private, invite-only place for families to preserve recipes, voices, photos, and stories. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: name, email, hashed password, and family role.
- Family content: recipes, photos, videos, audio recordings, comments, and reactions you upload.
- Billing: we do not receive or store card numbers. Stripe processes payments and returns a customer identifier, subscription status, and last-four/brand only for display.
- Technical: IP address, browser type, and basic analytics for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To run your private family space and keep your content available to you.
- To process payments through Stripe and email receipts and status updates.
- To secure the service (rate limiting, fraud prevention, backups).
What we never do
- Sell your family's data.
- Use your recipes, voices, or photos to train third-party AI models.
- Share your content outside your invited family, except when required by law.
Storage and security
Content is stored in encrypted cloud storage. Family photos, videos, and audio are served through short-lived signed URLs. Row-level security in our database ensures one family cannot see another's pantry.
Your rights
You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing privacy@storypantry.com. If you cancel, we retain your pantry so you can reactivate, and delete it on written request.
Children
StoryPantry is not directed to children under 13. Families are responsible for content they invite children to view.
Changes
We'll email account holders before making material changes to this policy.
